Alan Cross was fired by Corus back in July. Now, he's been hired by Astral's Orbyt Media division. He'll host a show called The Secret History of Rock with Alan Cross, which will sound an awful lot like his Ongoing History of New Music show we all know and love.
Has Bob McDonald ever produced a bad episode of Quirks & Quarks? If you're unfamiliar with Quirks & Quarks, you're missing out. Quirks & Quarks is a weekly science news program heard on CBC Radio One. The original host was David Suzuki, who started with the program in 1975. Then,
I heard Jimmy Kimmel aired a sweet tribute to his Uncle Frank on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday. Hulu has the clip, all legal and everything, so I clicked on over... Alas, when I tried to play Tribute to Uncle Frank, I was reminded it won't work for those of us
How do you guys do it? You grab a quick cat-nap and then you're back at it, ready to tackle the remainder of the day. I've never been able to nap. If I fall asleep before bedtime, I wake up feeling awful. I just want to go back to bed
I'm still driving the Lincoln MKX lent to me by Ford. Although I thought I hated big cars, I've never had more fun driving an automobile. It's also been the largest car I've ever driven, but that's about to change. Ford saw me make that claim, and offered me an

It's the last long weekend of the summer. This is your chance to let it fly. Whatever your beef is, smear it below!
I've always preferred smaller cars. In fact, when it comes time to replace my '99 Protege, I'll likely look at the subcompact class. I'll probably end up with a Fiesta or something... I probably won't end up with a Lincoln MKX, but that's what Ford has me driving this week.
YouTube user shuanclayton took a series of 1950's and 60's-era coffee commercials from the Prelinger Archives and edited them down to just the moments when the guys were the biggest jerks to their wives about coffee.

Our classless, short-sighted, pathetic excuse for a mayor Rob Ford has my blood boiling and gut busting again. Actually, it's not Rob Ford this time, it's his big brother Councillor Doug Ford, although I half suspect they're the same person. Dougie has a vision for our eastern waterfront, and he
Today I learned about the Port-A-Punch from IBM. IBM's Supplies Division introduced the Port-A-Punch in 1958 as a fast, accurate means of manually punching holes in specially scored IBM punched cards. Designed to fit in the pocket, Port-A-Punch made it possible to create punched card documents anywhere. The product was
In 1989, when I was in grade nine, Let Your Backbone Slide broke. It was everywhere, and I loved it. I picked up the 12" single because it contained the Power Mix, the Acapella Version, and the Club Mix . The video was shot in Toronto, naturally, and MuchMusic played it
