David Clayton-Thomas was the singer and songwriter best known as the lead vocalist of  Blood, Sweat & Tears, best known for the #2 Billboard Hot 100 hits "And When I Die", "You've Made Me So Very Happy", and "Spinning Wheel".

His music career started in the early 1960s when he was working the clubs on Yonge Street.

One of the great Toronto radio mysteries is what happened to Darren B. Lamb on CHFI. He took over for Mike Cooper as Erin Davis's co-host, and when Erin Davis retired and moved out west, Darren B. Lamb co-hosted with Maureen Holloway, who came to CHFI from Q107. Then, Darren B. Lamb seemingly disappeared and was replaced by Mike Cooper until the entire team was replaced by Pooja Handa and Gurdeep Ahluwalia, who came over from CP24 Breakfast.

Yesterday, when Maureen Holloway returned to Toronto Mike'd, we covered a lot of ground and a lot of Toronto radio tea was spilled, and she went off on Darren B. Lamb, explaining what happened when he disappeared from Toronto radio.

With Maureen Holloway visiting this afternoon, I was thinking about Marilyn Denis as she wraps up a lengthy tenure as CHUM 104.5 morning show host. Marilyn's been in that position for about 40 years.

Your Toronto Marlies are Calder Cup champions. You're forgiven if you were distracted and didn't notice. With the World Cup, and typical Toronto June madness, it's tough for our AHL affiliate to cut through the noise. But they beat the Chicago Wolves last night at Coca-Cola Coliseum 4-3 and took the championship series in five games.

When I saw the Marlies were up in the third period, I wanted to click away from the soccer match to see if they could hold on, but it seems I do not subscribe to Sportsnet 360. My loss, I suppose, but I wasn't about to give Rogers another red cent. I'm so sick of Rogers, but that's another post entirely.

Goaltender Artur Akhtyamov was named playoff MVP as the Marlies won their second cup. I actually have a replica of their 2018 Calder Cup championship ring in my podcast studio.
