You might remember Adam Wylde quitting his gig at Rogers-owned KiSS 92.5 back in June 2018. After his non-compete expired, he ended up as the morning show host on Bell-owned Virgin Radio 99.9. At the time, his co-host was a chap named TJ O'Halloran.
Adam Wylde, whose mother Marilyn Denis has hosted mornings down the hall at Bell-owned 104.5 CHUM for decades, has announced he and his co-host Jax Irwin are leaving Virgin Mornings. This is because Bell has poached Daryn Jones from KiSS 92.5. Yes, Daryn Jones of "Buzz" fame. While at St. Michael's College at the University of Toronto, I would bump into him on campus almost daily. "Buzz" was a highlight of cable 10 programming and Daryn always seemed like a swell guy.
Currently, Daryn Jones hosts the afternoon drive show on 92.5. Adam and Jax's last day is Friday.
Fun fact: Adam and Daryn have something else in common. Both politely declined their invitations to come on Toronto Mike'd!
