I came in by train. Bridgeport is the last Canada Line station before the airport branch splits off, and the covered walkway from the platform drops you at the resort in about two minutes. There are stairs, escalators and an elevator on that stretch. With a rolling bag, I used all three.
The doors opened onto carpet, cold air and the flat electronic chatter of a floor that never closes. Two staff at the entrance checked identification before anyone stepped past them. Drivers come off Highway 99 at exit 39 northbound or exit 39A southbound, then west on Bridgeport Road and north on Great Canadian Way. That last turn is short. I watched two cars miss it and loop back through the parkade entrance.
Bridgeport station is a transfer hub, not just a stop. Fifteen bus lines feed it, including the 620 that runs to Tsawwassen for the BC Ferries terminal. Routes 100, 311, 351, 352, 354, 403, 407, 412, 430, 601, 602, 603 and the N10 night bus all touch the same loop. My fare into zone 2 was $4.
Parking splits by type. Self-parking is entered from River Road on the west side of the casino, roughly a five-minute walk from the hotel entrance. Overnight valet costs $33.00 per night, and over-height self-parking in the East Parkade runs $25.00 per night. The same multi-level structure doubles as the SkyTrain park-and-ride, which is why it fills in the morning and empties at dinner.
Hours and when to go
The floor runs 24 hours, every day of the year, so "closed" is not a planning problem here. Crowding is. I walked in mid-afternoon on a weekday and found the slot rows half-occupied, a handful of baccarat tables live, and no wait at the cage.
The poker room keeps cash games going around the clock, with limits from $1/$2 up to $10/$20, plus daily tournaments at 2PM and 7PM. Those two start times reshape the room. The racebook serves food from seats daily from 9:00am until late, with closing tied to the last race.

The River Rock Show Theatre seats 1,000. There is no resident production; the room books touring musicians, comedians and one-off events, and it was refurbished as part of a renovation announced in 2024 for the resort's twentieth anniversary. That same program brought new restaurants and the dredging of the marina to restore service.
Outside, the boardwalk is the part most first-timers miss. A pier runs along the Fraser, and a three-storey viewpoint at the eastern tip of the walkway looks over the river, the dry docks and the low-flying traffic lining up for YVR. It took me under ten minutes to walk out and back.
The hotel is 11 storeys, smoke-free, 396 units, with deluxe king and two-queen rooms plus one- and two-bedroom suites. Tower Rooms sit in the South Tower across from the main resort, which matters if you book late at night and expect to be steps from the lobby. Rooms include a flat-screen television, small refrigerator, Nespresso machine and kettle; a microwave is subject to availability and a $25 daily fee.
Where to eat
Ten food and beverage venues operate on the property. The Buffet holds 260 seats on the third floor, up a curved escalator from the main lobby, with Fraser River windows along one side. It runs Friday through Sunday, while the adjoining Chairman's Room lounge menu is available seven days a week. Dinner service adds sushi and chilled prawns and shellfish to the carving stations.
Gordon Ramsay Steak brought Beef Wellington and dry-aged cuts to the complex, and Sea Harbour handles Cantonese dim sum and seafood. Those are the sit-down options with reservations and prices to match.
The food court is the cheap end and the loudest corner: Chopsticks Noodlehouse, Number 3 Chinese Restaurant, Rock House Burgers & Fries and Zio's pizza. It sits inside the gaming area, so it carries the same age restriction as the floor. The burger counter cooks to order, and at 3pm the line was four people deep, smelling of fryer oil and soy.
What it costs, who gets in, and the rules
Entry to the casino requires you to be 19 or older, matching British Columbia's legal gambling age, and the same minimum applies at hotel check-in. Every guest must show government-issued photo identification to enter a BC casino. Minors cannot pass through the food court, since it sits inside the restricted zone.
Dress code is casual. Shirts and shoes are required and nothing more formal is expected, which held true across everyone I saw at the tables.
Loyalty runs through Encore Rewards, the provincial program.
