Just gave the podcast a listen. It definitely seems like Wilner will be a regular in the broadcast booth this year, which is the right move. He's come a LONG way from when he first started doing broadcasts of spring training games years ago and his improvement deserves to be rewarded. Tom and Jerry proved that you don't need an ex player in the booth to give pitch-by-pitch analysis, and Wilner is as knowledgeable about this team as they come. If he and Ben Wagner are the long-term radio team, I think the fans would come to really enjoy that.

@Mike
Interesting episode. Currently listening to the Jeff Simmons interview in which Lady Gaga is
played as part of the Remember the Time segment. Might have also been highly-appropriate to have
somehow cut into her classic "Poker Face" jam during your queries to Mr. Wilner 'bout his potential
job-title change in the next several months! While it is very understandable why he had to remain
somewhat coy as nothing has been made public yet, tight-lips have become a recurring motif with
a handful of recent guests (Scott Moore's supposed next gig, Jaymz Bee's reluctance to discuss
the JazzFM imbroglio, etc.). Both gents had worthy reasons to be somewhat reticent, but may I suggest utilizing the Go-Go's classic jam "Our Lips Are Sealed" the next time somebody clams up?!?

Great episode TM! Had the pleasure of chatting with MW at TMXL2 and he was very nice even though I was very nervous during our interaction. If the rumour becomes truth, we will definitely miss Wilner on BJ's Talk but his talents mean the play-by-plays will be better served. That said, his late night pounces on 'Gord from Oshawa' or 'Jimmy from Brantford' or whomever should be spliced into a greatest slams compilation!

Great episode...enjoyed listening to "Real Talk" with Mike Wilner, away from his "Blue Jays Talk" persona. Looking forward to whatever comes his way behind the mike for this Jays season. Enjoyed the Pearl Jam talk...I finally got to see them live this summer at Wrigley Field...what a memorable time...even with the 2 hour rain delay full of thunder and lightning!
