That first part of "Full Metal Jacket" is some of the finest acting ever captured on cinema, even
if that sample of "Me so horny, me love you long time" from later in the film went on to greater
infamy in the hands of the 2 Live Crew!! He was also excellent in several appearances as the father
of Dr. Gregory House on the TV show "House." RIP.

I never saw Full Metal Jacket till lately, but I knew of R. Lee even still because, if you needed a drill sergeant character for your cartoon, R. Lee was your man. SpongeBob, Cars, hell, even that Geico commerical where he played a shrink made him memorable to me as a kid.
