Mike.. Please please please have Andrew upload the different calls for Joey Bats epic homer. It would be awesome to hear the different announcers call that blast!

Hi there -- when you have the time, could you please put together the various sound clips of the Baustista home run, like you did with the Russell home run against the Yankees?

Glad I tuned in after my run - what a crazy game!

I've added the audio of the various calls of the HR to the entry above, courtesy of @bluejays-voices on Soundcloud.

Here's the video of that glorious bottom of the 7th, in case you'd like to enjoy it again:

What a crap call by the Spanish announcer. Was he asleep?

That bat flip reminded me of when Alomar did the tomahawk chop after scoring the walk-off run to win game 3 of the series against Atlanta. Very satisfying if you're on the winning side...infuriating if you're on the other side.

Joey Bats oozes passion. I love it.

Great to see!! Plus TFC Clinched a playoff spot too with what might be the best goal ever scored in 9 year TCF..

As for mr Dyson being upset about the bat flip..I think a role model should show passion..it teaches kids something! so Mr Dyson don't be a sore loser..kids are watching your interviews..and no one likes a sore loser.

I know I'm getting old because the game exhausted me!

I have a question for all my fellow baseball fans. Let's say the Jays face the Cubs in the World Series... Would you be a bit torn as to who you would cheer for? Obviously I want Toronto to win... but the Cubs haven't won since 1908! I would look at a Jays-Cubs match-up to be a win-win scenario for the fans and MLB.

I am jumping ahead of myself. First things first, the Jays must settle a 30 year score after losing to the Royals in '85 after being up in the series 3 games to 1.

FUN!!

Just. Keep. Winning.
That about sums it up for me. Jumping up and down in my own family room, my dog looking at me, wondering what the heck his human/master is doing, was just fun. It was a great relief from all kinds of pressures of the past week for me. Joey's bat flip was icing on the cake.

Never mind the order. It's not worth any disagreement. A collection of clips over on the Indie88 site:

On to K.C., fans.

If it's Cubs vs. Jays, and I hope it is, I won't be the least bit torn.

Can you imagine Bob Cole calling last night's game?

During the 7th inning "Ooooh baby.....everything's happening!!!"

Just a heads up people.Remember last series in August Vs K.C all the Jay batters got hit by pitches?
The K C manager was quoted " They are right over the plate and lean into pitches"

For those keeping score The Jays were hit by 0 (Zero) pitches in the 5 games Vs Texas.

Just maybe could get interesting.

Congrats to BJays. Mike Jinxed the Rangers with 3 errors in the 7th & then JBats homer.

It was disgraceful with the shenanigans of the fans throwing beer cans & other objects on the field.

The day before the 1st game of the ALCS & Gibby doesn't reveal (or know) his rotation yet??
This series could get ugly with past history this year with beanballs against the Jays & Jays losing in 7 games after up 3-1 in 1985. I was there 1st ever Jays playoff game at Exhibition Stadium & was almost the same electricity as yesterday.

Joey Bats for Prime Minister.

So Not a huge BB fan but like everybody I've jumped on the bandwagon , so I'm listening to the Fan on the way home and even after i pick up my daughter from school. We are both getting into the game. We walk through the front door and both head for the TV . Only we cancelled our cable.cancelled our cable!

FACK! OK she has homework and I'm designated chef so we have stuff to do, we'll listen to a stream of 590 on-line. Only 590 apparently can't stream games due to some MLB rule. Crap! Oh wait what am i thinking ? I have two receivers in my living room! 1 old school stereo and the surround system.

No reception on the stereo and i don't seem to have AM on my Surround system.

WTF????

Finally i grabbed a clock radio from the bedroom.

THE ANTENNA WAS BROKEN OFF IN OUR LAST MOVE APPARENTLY. NO Reception.

By this time I'm getting a little stressed,I have a play by play feed on my phone but the details of what was going on in the 7th are not clear. And now my sister and her husband have arrived to spend the night and we are all trying to figure out what's going on.

We finally got my clock radio to work after putting it almost outside the door to the balcony. And kind of heard the 8th and 9th.

I'm thrilled we aren't paying that $100 bill every month but I'm kind of wishing we had waited a bit !

I'll be working out some sort of antenna for the stereo by tomorrow night!

MLB is concerned about fan behaviour at the game last night. Christ sakes I'm concerned about the way MLB is umpiring these games, anything happening on that end. Not likely.

Estada, Price, Stroman and Dickey, so everybody on regular or extra rest. A 4/7 series gives you a chance to get into a series and even if you fall behind, more chances to regroup. I am just excited to have more Blue Jays baseball. It would have been a travesty had the Jays lost, as they were uncharacteristically not themselves the first two games at home, mainly with the defence, so hopefully when they return Monday for Game #3 they will play the way they normally do at home.

K.C. is a pitcher's park, and Estrada is a fly ball pitcher, so that helps him, and the Jays power is prolific enough to hit homers in any park. The key to the series IMO without Cecil will be how the bullpen is managed in the middle innings till Sanchez and Osuna. Loup will be back fortunately but he is not the answer, just O.K. to get a few lefties.

Did the Spanish announcer have money on the Rangers? Geez.

Speaking of announcers: I'm sure this has been done to death, but I can't help myself...

I'm one of those fans who set the bar really, really low for announcers -- because if I didn't, I would have gone crazy a long time ago (I think Jack Morris would have put me over the edge). Besides, I'm betting that calling a game is probably harder than it looks; at least some of the time.

HOWEVER.

I have never experienced anything like one Harold Reynolds.

I'm not talking about the pro-Rangers bias. My standards for miserable US announcers hearkens back to Bob Costas calling the Jays win over the Braves as if he was reading an obituary (and maybe for some of the advertisers, he was).

The guy is just INANE. Inane I tell you! I-N-A-N-E!
