I don't think any Toronto Blue Jays beat writer covered more Jays games than Larry Millson. He worked for the Hamilton Spectator, Toronto Star, Toronto Telegram, The Globe and Mail, The Canadian Press, and Field Level Media. In April 2023, I invited him over to bury me in stories about his visits to Maple Leaf Stadium and his many years writing about baseball.
Then, I got greedy. Would Larry return to regale me in more Blue Jays stories, alongside Dave Perkins and Bob Elliott? Like a true gentleman, he did just that.
Larry lived by Christie Pits, and I'd often see him there watching, and photographing, Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball games. He was a gentle soul with great stories to share. I'm glad I got to hear them.
