In the late 90s, CFNY 102.1 the Edge could be found online at edge.passport.ca. This was the station's first URL, and talent had corresponding email addresses. If my memory serves correct, The Edge operated its web presence through passport.ca until the summer of 2000.
This June 1997 edition of RPM references the site where the Tea Party streamed a live performance, the fist time such a transmission was attempted in Canada.
Today I was sad to learn one of the key figures behind passport.ca, Earl Epstein, has passed away. Earl was the CEO at Passport New Media Inc. from 1994 until 2008, and co-owned the business with his brother John Epstein.
