I spent the day at FIFA Fan Festival at Fort York (or is it The Bentway) and I was thoroughly impressed. Sure, the food and drink is overpriced, and the activities are loaded with crass commercialism, but it's very well organized and we had a blast.
Before the actually game there was a DJ set by Kardinal Offishall and DJ Starting From Scratch before Angine de Poitrine took the stage. I had to see what all the fuss was about, and it's pretty mesmerizing. I loved it.
And oh yes, there was a World Cup Final between Spain and Argentina. At least I think Argentina was participating. As games go, this was was a bit of a dog, but the best team won and a good time was had by all.
