On the heels of my "This Winter Isn't So Bad" post, I feel like hibernating today. My son's hockey game was cancelled due to inclement weather, and I see nothing on my calendar.
Meanwhile, Environment Canada is throwing an Orange Warning regarding today's winter storm. It reads like a telegram you might receive during WWII.
Snowfall amounts of 20 to 40 cm.
Locally higher amounts are possible.
Peak snowfall rates of 5 to 8 cm per hour.
Significantly reduced visibility in blowing snow with winds gusting up to 50 km/h.
I won't be biking today. In fact, I only plan to leave the house to shovel. Today, I hibernate.
I've already watched Beatles '64, a 2024 documentary film directed by David Tedeschi and produced by Martin Scorsese. Good stuff. There's a brief moment when you hear George Harrison talking to Murray the K about James Ray's "Got My Mind Set on You". Pretty cool stuff.
What happens tomorrow, no one knows. Stay safe, Toronto.
