Joey Votto a Toronto Maple Leaf?

This week, Etobicoke's own Joey Votto took to Twitter to let everybody know he's missing ball. Joey Votto is a free agent, and at 40 years of age, eager to play for his home team.

I have had a conversation with someone close to Joey that made two things very clear:

1. Joey Votto absolutely wants to sign with Toronto
2. Current Blue Jays management has near-zero interest in making this happen

I also have sources with the Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Team that tell me they're keen to sign Joey Votto to play for our IBL team that plays home games at Christie Pits.

Update: Joey Votto has signed a minor-league deal with the Blue Jays. He'll be vying for a bench role.
