The Voice of Reason

Mike I was expecting to see some sort of Kathleen Wynne shrine.
Other than that, nice set up.

May 18, 2017 @ 3:12 PM

I think the word that stuck out most to me was duck.

May 18, 2017 @ 3:15 PM

Thanks for doing this. When I listen to the episodes I have this vision in my head what I presume your studio will look like.

I was off.

Also, the low point in your basement would hit me in the jaw... I would be hunched :)

Can't believe you lured some of those big name guests downstairs. :)

No wonder Maestro had his eyes closed all episode! j/k ;)

If you are 5'9" is Steve Kerzner legally allowed to ride roller coasters ?

We do not vertically shame here!

Have I ever even written a positive piece about Wynne or celebrated her on an episode? I honestly can't remember doing so...

May 18, 2017 @ 3:44 PM

For the low ceilings: big red warning signs and a couple of layers of foam tacked up might ease the pain.

May 18, 2017 @ 3:48 PM

You're not going to try and censor me for a second time this week are you ?

Mike, just pulling your leg on Wynne. I am impressed with the Pulp Fiction poster. Pulp Fiction and Casino are likely 1 and 1a best movies of the 1990's.

For the record, I've yet to delete a single comment from you.

Closing that parking ticket guys thread was for the good of all humanity.

Did Humble and Fred get screwed by "The Parking Ticket Guys"?

May 18, 2017 @ 4:06 PM

@The Voice of Reason

That's impossible. Goodfellas is better than Casino, and that came out in 1990.

May 18, 2017 @ 4:06 PM

The Voice of Reason

I stand corrected.

Aren't you buds with Freddie P?

They were pretty public about it... said they were screwed.

The Voice of Reason

Fred is a great guy, but a long while since we had drinks. Maybe this summer at the trailer. Anyhow, all I was asking the "Parking Ticket Guy" was if he was wrong and knew it, why would he not just make every attempt to follow through on his promises with his clients. He would have avoided public embarrassment and likely still had a shot at a careers as a paralegal.

The one good thing about keeping that PTG thread open was that all the PTG talk stayed over there. :)

I've heard it referenced hundreds of times but now I understand the ceiling!

That dip above the studio table... how deep is it?

Plenty of room for another bat-flip T-Shirt, commemorating last night's heroic homer and reaction to make it a 4-run game!

@Rob J

It's bizarre to me how upset people get over the way a guy tosses his bat after a homer.

That one barely qualifies as a flip... probably done out of frustration b/c the Braves hammered us again.

Please reopen the thread for PTG, I will not respond on it any longer, but was enjoying the back and forth.

But it's been going around in a circle for years... well before you and Beatts showed up. I got tired of seeing the same comments in my inbox.

The Voice of Reason

I get that, but it was entertaining how both of those guys heels were dug in the sand. I was sensing PTG was going to cave eventually.

It's a mystery to me too. Fans are very selective in what they despise and what they adore. If it's my favourite team, all I remotely care about is the 'W'. Everything else is ignored, and I certainly don't care what other fans think about them,

It's only a few feet deep, then it gets better.

By the way, if you take another right, you're in my oldest son's bedroom.

May 18, 2017 @ 4:48 PM

@TM You know I don't think for a second you are censoring me :) I just have to harass you about something. Keeps you on your toes.

I did enjoy the banter with Mr Low though.

I'll find something new around here to catch my eye at some point.

May 18, 2017 @ 4:58 PM

You might also want to get a comfy seat for your guests like the one you have for yourself, as well as a "watch your head" sign, and maybe your Toronto Mike logo on the back wall and on the individual mics which are cheap. I would maybe start taking pics of your guests on the mic too as well as your outside selfie etc. Everyone who listened should donate to your show via Patreon. My 2 cents of silly ideas.

Cool, thanks for sharing.

Unfortunately, PR firms with clients over 5'7 just cancelled to be guests on Toronto Mike'd.

Al The Royal Pain

In the past month, I've literally doubled my support of TM on Patreon (from $1 to $2). I challenge everyone else to do the same! Mike is doing Yeoman's work here.

Thanks for this mike, it does help a little to have a picture in my mind. I agree with Moi. You need better guest chairs. :)

May 19, 2017 @ 10:20 AM

New guest chairs required. Duly noted!

Although these folding chairs I use are nicely padded and pretty comfy. :)

May 19, 2017 @ 10:29 AM

Nice to see the Jays' signboard has a good home. It would be warping and fading in my musty basement otherwise.

And every time I see Roy Halladay's autograph there, I think of you.

May 19, 2017 @ 2:43 PM

As a (frequent?) guest, maybe even co-host at times, I can confidently say the chairs are fine.
