Wrong. 4th of July does not include an instance of "america" in the title.

I HATE American Woman by Lenny Kravitz SOOOOO much, it actually hurts me, deep down in my soul, to think about it.
Thanks for the painful memories, Mike!

@ 519 Rob - THANK YOU!!! I Hate Lenny Kravitz's American Woman with a feverish passion. The Guess Who version is deceint, but Lenny just killed it. To make matters worse, it gets played on the edge and 107.9 all the time. Although, really, when is the last time Lenny put out a good song?? For my money, it was "Mamma Said" with Slash.....

Im glad there is someone out there with me on this. The song seems to go in phases. About a year ago, I swear I heard it in the radio 15+ times over a week or so. I dont like Lenny at all (Mama Said and Are You Gonna... are OK), so maybe I am biased. I just REALLY hate his version of American Woman.

Add me to the list of people who dislike Lenny Kravitz's version of American Woman.

Fun Fact: The song everyone called "Mama Said" is actually named "Always on the Run".

@Mike
When you're right, you're right. Always On The Run it is!

@519 Rob

But just to confuse things, Lenny named the album Mama Said.

Mississauga Phil

@ Mike- I stand corrected, it is indeed always on the run.

I still maintain that Lenny Kravitz has not put anything worth listening to out in over 15 years....

The Beach Boys - "Spirit of America"

What about songs with USA in the title? This technically refers to America in the title, although abreviated.

What self-respecting Canadian music fan could forget Kim Mitchell's "America"?

How about American Storm by Bob Seger. It's not one of his hits, but is on the Like A Rock Album. Bob Seger is the best. Also there's The Americans by John Mellencamp, my other favourite rock singer.
