Jim Kelley, Dead at 61

In MemoriumJim Kelley was 61. He was a longtime sports writer and member of the Hockey Hall of Fame who recently worked alongside Bob McCown co-hosting Prime Time Sports on The Fan 590.

He was great and made my commute bearable. Now that I am overseas I loved listening to him as it made me feel back home listening to he and Bob banter back and forth. Jim, thanks for putting a smile on the faces of many.

I enjoyed listening to Jim more than McCowan. He had warmth and a sense of humour that reflected that.

He aleays made you look at an issue from a different perspective. Listening to Kelly, McCowan and Brunt makes the traffic feel much lighter on the way home. Although I never met you in person, I will miss hearing your voice and endless wisdom. God bless.

for years he was on the buffalo news staff. i looked forward to his "inside the NHL" column every sunday. he was always very informative.
