Gran Torino

Movie Review

Gran Torino: 8 out of 10.

They say most artists hit their creative peak in their 20s and 30s.  Clint Eastwood would disagree.  This man didn't hit his creative stride until sixty and he's still directing excellent films at the age of 79.

Think about it.  Since Clint turned 70 he's directed Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, Flags of Our Fathers, Letters from Iwo Jima, Changeling and Gran Torino.  Francis Ford Coppola is 9 years younger and he hasn't done anything decent since 1992.

Gran Torino reminded me a little of Pixar's Up and Falling Down, not as good as the first but better than the latter.  It's a solid film you oughta see... or Walt Kowalski will kick your ass!
