Don't Do It

moviesJackie Chan is in negotiations to star in the remake of 1984 hit movie The Karate Kid, according to reports. The martial arts star would take on the role of mentor Mr Miyagi.

I wrote about my love of The Karate Kid and the late Pat Morita as Kesuke Miyagi a couple of years ago.

Remaking this iconic movie is a very, very bad idea. Don't do it.

Wax on... wax off. Wax on... wax off.

Oh yes, this is an incredibly bad idea. Why can't people leave well enough alone sometimes?

They can't well enough alone becuase they are creativly bankrupt in Hollywood for the most part and we continue to pay our money for crappy mainstraem movies and utterly fail to support the ones that are interesting.
