For a period of time in the late 80s, Vincent Damphousse was the best Leaf on the ice.  Other than the often injured Wendel Clark and the inconsistent Gary Leeman, he was the best Leaf this side of Eddie Olczyk.

Against all odds, Vincent Damphousse was named the MVP of the 42nd NHL All-Star Game after scoring four goals for the Campbell Conference in its 11-5 win at Chicago. The four goals tied an NHL All-Star Game record shared by Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux.

Today, Damphousse announced his retirement from the NHL.  He retires with the 27th most points in Maple Leafs history with 329.  Farewell #25.
