Maple Leafs 5, Coyotes 4

Go Leafs Go!

This game was worth the fatigue I'll experience today.  In the second period alone the Leafs managed to score more goals than they had in any previous game this season.  Owen Nolan led the way by scoring his first two goals of the season.  The offense is awakening!

Despite allowing four goals, Mikael Tellqvist looked sharp in stopping 29 Coyote shots.  I was particularly impressed by the series of spectacular saves he made to preserve a 1-0 lead while the Leafs were short two men for a couple of minutes in the first.  When your goalie is 39 years old, it's reassuring to see there's youth waiting to be served.  Of course, the best part of a Tellqvist game is getting the opportunity to admire his awesome goalie mask.  That image of Borje Salming is worth staying up late for.
