When was the last time you saw a photo ruined by red eyes? This was typical back in the film camera days. The photo would be grand, but someone had red eyes. We just accepted it as an inherent risk.
The Red Eye risk is gone. I'm not sure my kids would even understand why Homer's eyes are red in this classic Simpsons pic. Just another relic of a pre-digital era.
