On Friday I posted my cycling stats for January 2026 as evidence it's been a pretty decent month. That was then, this is now. That Friday was so cold, I didn't bike. Same for Saturday. Then, Toronto got more snow in one day that any other day of my life. I was grounded.
So we had the deep freeze, and the enormous quantity of snow, and in the middle of it all my snow bike all but disintegrated. He's dead, Jim. #SORFH
I had a scheduled ride to meet a fellow podcaster in Mount Charles, but postponed it not so much because of the snow, but because that deep freeze has returned. The double whammy of -20 windchill temps and 50cm of snow got me to throw my hands up and surrender.
Now to figure out what bike I can ride tomorrow.
