I didn't own the debut album from Suicidal Tendencies, but I loved "Institutionalized", the big single from this hardcore punk band. All I wanted was a Pepsi!
Another track on this 1983 album is "I Saw Your Mommy...", which I only recently heard for the first time. Here's that song, a Suicidal Tendencies original.
Did you listen? Did it remind you of anything? When I hear "I Saw Your Mommy..." I hear "Pretend We're Dead" by L7. Multiple elements of the song remind me of "Pretend We're Dead", by far the best known song by L7. Here's that song from 1992's Bricks Are Heavy.
I brought this up during a recent Toast with Rob Preuss and Bob Willette but neither seemed to bite so I moved on.
Does anyone else hear what I hear?
