As surreal as it sounds, I was the 2025 Etobicoke Lakeshore Santa Claus Parade Grand Marshal. I was honoured to be invited, but had one request. I wanted the legend that is Peter Gross to be by my side for the duration of the parade, which ran from First Street to Thirty Fifth Street this morning.
As you heard at #TMLX21 last week, Peter agreed and we were positioned right after a marching band, right at the front. My youngest daughter joined us for the first 14 blocks, leaving us for hot chocolate outside Ridley Funeral Home.
I still can't believe this happened, but it definitely did, and I have the photographic evidence to prove it!
