I'm catching up on my RSS feeds after a busy few days, and I see the headline "Etobicoke residents hold rally over concerns about proposed homeless shelter in their area". This is the shelter that's coming to 66 Third Street, well discussed on Toronto Mike'd. If you want a deeper dive, I highly recommend episode 1638 with Bruce Davis.
The CBC headline tells you this rally features concerned citizens who do not want this shelter to open at this location. Yet when I look at the photo, to see which of my neighbours attended, I actually see more shelter supporters than protesters.
Every sign with a blue band across the top is a shelter supporter. It's a pity the headline leads one to assume everyone in this photo is against the shelter.
