Hayes is a great dude, was always so nice to me (and countless others) whenever I called into the Fan in a past life.

Excited to hear this.

All of the Hayes boys have great pipes. Did not know that Bill's son Brian was the TSN commentator on show with Noodles & ODog, the best show on TSN radio.
Bill should take over for brother Derringer on Listless Q 107 as he loves music.
Great job Mike - now you have to get John Derringer with a little help from big Bro.

Bill, thank you for your kind words about John Landecker. Huge hero of mine.

Solid all the way around. I have been a Bill Hayes fan where ever he has turned up. Great insight from a guy who has been on both sides of the radio dial either am or fm. And talk about connections, it seems Bill knows everyone in Toronto radio.

I knew of his family also in radio and boy would I love to sit around with he, Derringer and Bryan Hayes over some pops. What talent!

He mentions WBEN-FM in Buffalo, NY which was Rock 102 (modern day Star 102.5). They used the "Stereo Rock" service out of Dallas, Texas. It certainly was anti-personality automated radio, but it sounded great for the time. Scratch-free clean sounding music.

But yes, that would not work on the radio today.
