That's a sharp looking bike. Great colour.

The Fuji is a much better bike. But it's not exactly a fair comparison.

My Giant is about $500. I got a very good deal on the Fuji and only paid $800. But still, that's a relatively significant bump.

The Fuji just feels better... it's lighter, and the disc brakes are awesome.

But, I still ride the Giant when it's snowy out, or when I have to lock up my bike. As I said on the podcast with Pete Fowler, I treat my $500 bike like a $500 bike and my $800 bike like a $6,500 bike.

Two reasons it's another hybrid....

1. I didn't want to spend the bucks necessary for a nice road bike.

2. I like hybrids.

@Toronto Mike,

I just figured that you already had one :)

I remember you having the trouble with wrist-pain (on the epically long ride), and that almost certainly came from the flat bars.

The idea number of bikes is always n+1 regardless. You can keep an eye out for a used one!

Yes, the back-to-back century rides caused a pinched nerve.

But, if I cap my rides at 50km, there's never any pain. I now average 30-40km rides, time permitting. I haven't exceeded 50km since the Ride to Conquer Cancer.
