Wow, that PHI/PIT game was one of the craziest games I've seen. Good hockey, not so good for my fantasy team.

Has anyone else noticed that the games are boring when you compare them to the two Pitt-Phil games?

Those games are fast, physical and exciting. Damn...

I didn't draft a player in the series b/c I thought it was a coin flip, but I'm rooting for the Pens. It's been a rough couple of nights...

Go Sharks!

alexi

Looks like I might have drafted the worst team of all time??

Don't worry, Alexi.... if SJ doesn't beat St. Louis, I'll probably finish behind you.

At this point, we're just hoping to beat Lamster's 22 from 2009: http://www.torontomike.com/2009hockeypool.html

At least you can zone out and forget about this stupid pool. I'm stuck documenting the atrocity until some time in June.

Down goes Hossa, Down goes Hossa!!

I was sure to win without this setback. LOL

Ryan

Not that it matters but you missed giving Zajac a point last night.

Go Monica Go

Gave you that Zajac point.

Don't worry about coming in last, I've got that spot covered.

April 18, 2012 / 09:07

Mofo

J. Arnott should have a point. Not that it matters. Or maybe it does.

April 18, 2012 / 16:06

Mofo

Let's all hope Philly wins 1 nothing today.

April 18, 2012 / 16:08

@Mofo

Fixed the Arnott score.

Let's hope it's 1-0 Philly and Braydon Coburn scores the only goal unassisted.

Mofo

So much for 1 nothing.

I don't have a single Penguin or Flyer. This is me:

I think Hamhuis has 2 points.. according to nhl.com.. so we should be tied.. with an amazing 16 points!

April 19, 2012 / 10:17

Toronto Mike Verified as the defacto Toronto Mike

@alexi

Bumped Hamhuis to 2 points.

April 19, 2012 / 14:11

Ryan

Zajac should be at 4 points and not 3.

Thanks.

April 20, 2012 / 19:21

Toronto Mike Verified as the defacto Toronto Mike

Zajac is now at 4 points.

April 21, 2012 / 08:58

Domenic

Brian Campbell from Florida should have 4 points, according to nhl.com - 10th place here I come!

April 22, 2012 / 10:12

alexi

Well.. I could lose the last of my players this week, but at least I passed the 22 point mark!

April 23, 2012 / 09:06

@alexi

22 is our Mendoza line.

I was worried James wouldn't clear it until he got 6 points in the Bruins win yesterday.

Now, I just have to clear it.

Clear 22, and we'll leave you alone. Poor Anthony...

April 23, 2012 / 09:08

Steve

This might be the most first round carnage ever.

April 27, 2012 / 11:19

Toronto Mike Verified as the defacto Toronto Mike

Without a doubt, this is the fewest players to advance to round 2.

But interestingly enough, it's a rare year where nobody lost their entire team in round 1.

The Lamster line will likely be passed by all.... assuming Anthony gets there.

April 27, 2012 / 11:29

Bob

McDonald should have 8 and Marchand should have 2 pts.

Bob has discovered the conspiracy to limit his points!

We now have a tie at the top, although Monica's Flyers play today...

April 29, 2012 / 10:33

Domenic

Hey Mike
I believe there is a conspiracy to limit points, and here's more proof.
R. Whitney should be 6
and M. Carle should be 5

@Domenic

Well, I'm not going to lie. I put in Mon's $20 and if she wins I intend to keep the $.

So yeah, I'm cheating everyone else from a point or two or three along the way.

Watch your back, Pats.

April 30, 2012 / 12:50

Anthony is the only poolie yet to pass the Lamster Line.

C'mon Lasagna King, get those 4 points!

May 2, 2012 / 12:25

Toronto Mike Verified as the defacto Toronto Mike

I audited Anthony's points on nhl.com and he got an extra Kesler point as a result.

That ties him with Lamster for the lowest point total of the modern era.

But, I like the sound of "Lamster Line" better than "Palma Point", and I don't want to alienate my source of free lasagna.

So the Lamster Line lives!

Bah! Goodbye, Flyers. It was fun while it lasted.

@Mon

If Girardi stands on his head, gets a few unassisted goals a game, you'll be okay.

May 9, 2012 / 09:53

Toronto Mike Verified as the defacto Toronto Mike

140 players drafted.

2 rounds later, 29 players remain.

Bob, Steve and Pats will fight for the top two spots...

May 12, 2012 / 22:23

Patino

Mike, according to nhl.com
M.Read has 5 points and D.Backes has 4 points which gives me at a total of 61 points.

May 19, 2012 / 22:58

Ryan

Ponikarovsky is at 6 pts please adjust. Thanks

May 26, 2012 / 12:29

Bob

Could this be the lowest winning total in the history of the pool???

May 31, 2012 / 08:03

Toronto Mike Verified as the defacto Toronto Mike

@Bob

I'd say so.

Winning totals:

2003 - 91
2004 - 88
2006 - 110
2007 - 108
2008 - 119
2009 - 103
2010 - 120
2011 - 125

You know, if you don't break 80, we don't pay out your winnings. It's in the rules.
