Canadians Who Have Played For The Blue Jays

bluejaysThe Toronto Blue Jays signed Matt Stairs yesterday to a one year contract. Stairs, who was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, will become the thirteenth Canadian to suit up for the Jays.

Here are the first twelve.

  • Dave McKay
  • Paul Hodgson
  • Rob Ducey
  • Denis Boucher
  • Vince Horsman
  • Rob Butler
  • Paul Spoljaric
  • Paul Quantrill
  • Rich Butler
  • Steve Sinclair
  • Simon Pond
  • Corey Koskie

My favourites on that list were Rob Ducey, Rob Butler, Paul Spoljaric and Paul Quantrill. It's a shame we never landed Larry Walker.

I have Rob Duceys Autograph on a 1989 Topps card I always rooted for him. Im not canadian but the JAys are my favorite team and I always rooted for the Canadian Players. ITs a shame that Koskie didnt last longer in Toronto.
