Pooja Handa had been a CP24 anchor since 2008, and in April 2011 she became a co-host of CP24 Breakfast Weekend, before moving to the weekday edition of CP24 Breakfast. You might have heard Steve Anthony's exit interview in which he boasted CP24 Breakfast had surpassed Breakfast Television in the ratings.
Pooja's departure was announced during her final show on Friday. There was little fanfare, no farewell tour, and the CP24.com web page bio for her has already been unpublished.
Pooja says she's leaving for another opportunity, and I've confirmed that to be true. Look for her to resurface soon on a competitor station, likely CHFI/Breakfast Television. Also, look for another high profile defection to be announced shortly.

Update: Pooja and Gurdeep are indeed the new morning show on CHFI.
