So here was another guest whose previous existence was completely unknown to
my admittedly very-sheltered self (a longtime lack of cable and a bordering-on-illiterate
ability to historically read and comprehend The Globe & Mail due to a basic comic
book education will do that to a fella, sometimes!). but I was still thoroughly entertained
nevertheless. Great opening and closing jams as well! On another note, my initial exposure
to Kobe Bryant came during one of the early episodes of that renowned sports enthusiast
Rosie O'Donnell's original talk show back in June of 1996. In other words, right around the time
that he was about to take his first steps into the NBA (National Bowling Assoc., perhaps?!?)
Seemed like a dude with a bright and positive future ahead of himself. Real shame, then, about
the subsequent (ultimately dropped) sexual allegations/settled civil suit and multiple reports of
stepping out on his very attractive wife. And no, I'm in no way callously suggesting that such
shameful behaviour would have been acceptible/permissible if his wife didn't meet the often quite-narrow standards of conventional beauty. Professional athletes, musicians, actors
and men in general need to learn to respect the sanctity of marriage. WORD!!

Brian Gerstein (Raptors Devotee)

I am so with Michael and you Mike, on Kobe Bryant. Just on the basketball level, I have seen Michael Jordan's entire career, as well as LeBron of course, and for Bryant to inject himself into that conversation of the greatest players ever is comical. I don't need to even look at Grange's numbers from his digging into it at the time, my own eye tests is more than enough. Kobe has always been a selfish me-first player, who does not make the players around him better. He had a lot of athleticism which as Michael stated helped his 15 years of peak, which was still not that great, to put up the numbers he did. I am not taking away from his 5 rings and 2 Finals-MVP's, as he was a huge reason obviously why they won them, but gimme a break to even smell the rafters of MJ and LeBron.
