This has been my favourite, "who the heck is this guy?" episode. He's had such an interesting breadth of careers, and the nostalgia references between music and the Jays are on-point to my own upbringing hah.

Bonus points to Mike for mentioning the Inspiral Carpets :D

Toronto Mike Verified as the defacto Toronto Mike

When I have a "who the heck is this guy" guest, just know I think it'll be interesting. It has the Toronto Mike seal of approval!

One of your conversations made me wonder: has anyone ever wanted to remain anonymous on the show?

You mean, a guest who didn't want their name used? Not yet...

Undoubtedly my favourite episode of the year to date, but will likely be replaced by tomorrow's
1236 mid-year blowout! Big fan of the Completely Ignored blog and podcast, as it is a wonderful
place to indulge in my often over-burdened musical trainspotting tendencies!! Despite almost
lasting two hours and forty minutes, I could have easily listened for another couple of hours.
Some random raves and thoughts:

As for Llloyd Moseby's "Shaker's Rap", I think that its production style, rapping and overall
musical style is more akin to early Kurtis Blow rather than Run-DMC.

@Mike Gotta love anyone who will still proudly admit to liking the Fat Boys as well as watching
their underrated 1987 film classic Disorderlies in an actual movie theatre. But did you also
partake in their earlier cinematic participation in Krush Groove?

Plus, the assorted musical shout-outs to Inspiral Carpets, Material Issue, Cheap Trick,
Grant Lee Buffalo and most of all, Bootsauce, left me totally Verklempt (Yiddish for emotionally
spent!!), and in most dire need of a quick run-through a downtown public fountain!! What a landmark 350th episode!!!
