I'm first, goody. My Orioles lost by a run. That sucked. Yovani Gallardo didn't pitch very well. My Diamondbacks won though which is a great thing. My Indians lost. That is not a good thing. Well, Jets won last night so that's a win for my pool. Hope I have a good football day on Sunday. Kean lost last night. I don't know why they keep losing, but they do. I hope they win the next game. They go to all these spiels and don't do well in them.

It was kind of nice to wake up and see the Jays won last night. I've been clinging on every pitch lately, and it's been excruciating, but last night I went to bed instead of staying up for the game.

So we're 2 back and tied with Baltimore for the Wild Card. Buckle up kids, this is going to be tight.

I honestly feel like The North American Young Stars may finish first or second in the World Cup. No other team can boast having 5 first overall draft picks on their roster.

I'm seventeenth. Oh really swan? You think I'm 5th? No no..I do not subscribe to your oppressive, racist idealogy. I refuse to conform to mathematical "logic" devised centuries ago by...who else.. WHITE MALES.

Speaking of which, did any of you watch the video of the incredibly entitled black City worker who spewed off f-bomb after f-bomb when he was ticketed for parking illegally in a handicap spot? Also claimed he was being racially profiled by the black officer who called him on his shit.

As for the Jays, I feel they're done for the year. Despite the win last night, Donaldson's playing hurt, and he's key. Plus I sense they're collectively tightening up as the pressure mounts with fewer games remaining. If only they could have stomped on the necks of those teams below them in the standings a few weeks back. I'm not a fairweather fan and I'll keep following the team but in the end, I can't see anyone beating the Cubs.

One more thing. I DJ'd a club called Nocturne on queen west last Saturday. While another guy (DJ Lazarus) spun in the main room, I was in the front room playing the best goddamn music from cfny's Spirit of Radio era and loved every minute of it. It's one thing to listen to that music in your earbuds, but soaking it all up in a club with proper sound and lighting really transports you back, and by the reaction of the folks on the dance floor, they seemed to agree. Good times.

As you may have noted Last weekend we had a "Mob" of Dbags on sport bikes riding around Mississauga like a bunch of asshats. Made the news , and certainly seems to have upset more than a few people. As it should have , totally stupid and irresponsible behavior by a (Mostly from what i have found out on a local motorcycle forum) bunch of spoiled ,entitled children. Apparently part of the "reason" was a bit of a protest at the high insurance premiums for young entitled douchebags on sport bikes. I'm guessing that a protest it was a bit of a fail.

A few people at work have asked me if I was there and before i could even answer wondered WTF I was thinking.

No I was not there . Somebody somewhere no doubt think i'm a Dbag but Nobody thinks i'm young!

I'm quite annoyed by the whole thing . It makes everyone on any bike except a full on Harley style cruiser look bad and will no doubt negatively affect insurance down the road.

The point of my little rant being please don't paint everyone on a sportier motorcycle with the same brush.

Happy Friday everyone

@Ryan G,

Oh that's cool. I also happen to love DJ Lazarus's music too. I'm really not a gothy/industrial guy, but got into that music in a huge way as CFNY was going nu-metal in the late 90s.

September 16, 2016 @ 10:32 AM

Ryan G

@markosaar, ya - Lazarus (aka Lloyd) was playing what's called EBM - sort of a modern industrial sound from what I could tell.

I held on to my request list which I'm going to frame - to me, that piece of paper with gnarly scrawled requests represents just how passionate people are about the music that matters to them even though some of those tracks are 30 years old. Despite being in their late 30's..late 40's. (one guy was in his early 50's), they still came out on a saturday night to some beaten up nightclub downtown to dance and revel in it. I loved it. I spun the best stuff from simple minds, front 242, smiths, siouxsie, love and rockets, skinny puppy and i was able to get a cd copy of the classic toronto goth anthem, collage from vital sines. I've dj'd on the side for years, and i had this one gig recently at a bar in pickering - i was paid more for that gig than i do at nocturne, but i'd rather play the music i love for less dough, hands down.

September 16, 2016 @ 10:45 AM

m m

Ryan G, sounds interesting. How often is the CFNY-type music played at Nocturne? If you are doing it again soon, make sure you announce it. Front 242 FTW!

September 16, 2016 @ 10:59 AM

Ryan G

@mm Sure thing. I think Nocturne's pretty much alternative all the time. The smaller front room often has dj's playing the older stuff from the 80s/90's, with newer industrial in the main room. Maybe there's a sweet spot to have a night with modern Indie/alternative without the hardcore industrial.

On a related note, in May I spun for a few hours at the Spring Beer Fest thingy at Sherbourne Common. There I played mostly new'ish Indie /alternative and it seemed to go over pretty well. The guy playing after me showed up and by his attire alone, it was clear he was a hip hop dj. 10 minutes before he was to go on, the organizer saw him and told him that they didn't want any hip hop. He looked at me and freaked out. That's pretty much all he had. I unplugged my deck and wished him luck. He then proceeded to play (to a large and growing crowd) 3 bob marley songs back to back followed by a Sting song and then another reggae song. It was weird and certainly embarrassing. Someone dropped the ball on the dj details that's fo sho.

If he does not make the first two lines, he would be better off back in London. Playing 20+ minutes in Junior with a mandate of concentrating on his weaknesses is far superior to his growth than getting less than 10 minutes per game in the NHL. I cannot understand why Max Domi was left off the North American Roster though. It is a deep team either way.

September 16, 2016 @ 12:39 PM

Toronto FC continue to be in 1st in the East and are on the heels of 1st overall in the league.

But hey, let's talk about 4th line centers for the Leafs, the World Cup of Hockey which doesn't give every country a fair chance to participate in, and the CFL in a market that got barely 17k into a 30k stadium against their main rival from down the road.

September 16, 2016 @ 12:40 PM

No offence, but TFC is the equivalent of The Toronto Marlies of the AHL. It is nice that they are leading the division, but Major League Soccer is "major" in name only.

Biking TO- Mike i love that you advocate for biking this city, biking is great. But here are my beefs with our bikers dressed in tight spandex. Please pass this on to any of your bike-mates.

Beef # 1 - Family bike ride along the lake-shore 1PM on a Sunday while the Airshow is going on. "tour de france" Bikers dodging in and out of traffic. Travelling at 70km's "Yelling on your left" no bell, and pissed if you are in their way. My 8 year old came inches from a head on bike accident with one of these guys. Could have been nasty, my son had enough sense to veer right, his handle bar clipped Mr Tour de France who when flying.
Guys, if you are training for the next Olympics, Sunday at 1pm while an airshow is happening is not the ideal venue. Just saying.

Beef #2 - "Tour de france " riders on the road who MUST, ride 4 abreast taking up a full lane on the road, not signaling turns, not stopping at stop signs. Argh, my rant over.

Does spandex make you go faster? and does it really matter when riding on the city streets? :)

@The Voice of Reason

While I don't agree about the MLS not being major because I'm obviously biased, wouldn't the same argument be made for the CFL? Yet there are hour long pre-game shows, radio panels, and feel-good stories plastered all over.

Point I am trying to make here is the media coverage in Toronto of an actual first place Toronto team has been pathetic. What exactly defines a league as being "major league"? If it's the skill level of play than the EPL wouldn't be #1, it'd be the Spanish La Liga league followed closely by the German Bundesliga yet people will point to the fact that the EPL in Canada outdraws the MLS on may instances.

All too often people criticize the MLS because they are comparing it to the hundreds of other leagues in the world. Yet a Toronto-based team, in a 9 team all Canadian league that is not up-to-par to NFL will receive the treatment of the Leafs of Jays despite being in 3rd.

September 16, 2016 @ 1:29 PM

Toronto Mike Verified as the defacto Toronto Mike

@The Voice of Reason

This is why the Leafs won't employ me.

As for "major" championships, I look at whether a championship would get me downtown to celebrate. A World Series would get me downtown, a Stanley Cup would get me downtown, and the NBA Championship would get me downtown. That is all.

September 16, 2016 @ 1:41 PM

If they are playing both Anthems currently then I would venture they would do the same.

Any team is capable of Winning yes..especially once the round robin is over..one and done..(except the final) but still think Canada and US have two of the strongest teams, and from seeing the schedule the higher ups want them to play as many times as possible.

I love TFC, going this weekend actually..big game vs NY Red Bulls. Sadly Seba isn't playing..hope they pull it out though.

September 16, 2016 @ 3:02 PM

The Voice of Reason

@Wally

I am not criticizing the MLS by any stretch, I am just stating the league Is not up to the level of the major European leagues. The MLS has only won two Concacaf champions league titles. The MLS have never had a team qualify for the World Club Championships. The issue is clearly dollars.

I love the CFL, but sadly with the exception of Western Canada, Canadians don't embrace the game. The CFL only exists at this point because TSN developed it into a television property. Two other examples of TSN "creating" a sports property would be Curling and the World Junior Hockey Championships.

As far as the Leafs and the Jays go, the Leafs will always be a draw because of their legacy. If the Jays had not won two World series in the 1990's, they likely would have moved out of Toronto as they were literally on life support before Rogers "rescued" them.

This is not to say that the MLS cannot reach "major" sports in North America status some day. They just are not at that level at this point in time.

September 16, 2016 @ 3:10 PM

Wally

@The Voice of Reason

Good points, I agree.

In fact a very good argument can be made that the best soccer league in North America is Liga MX in Mexico.

I will say tho that MLS franchises do not put emphasis on the Champions League as much as they do in Europe. There is simply no money in CONCACAF compared to UEFA. With that said, one of TFC's greatest moments was their QF Champions League game against L.A. Galaxy (w/ David Beckham) at the dome. Almost 50,000 in attendance. Link here.

September 16, 2016 @ 3:18 PM

The Voice of Reason

@Wally

As a sports fan in general, I would love TFC or the Montreal Impact be invited into England for a match against Man U. It would literally driver those pompous Brits crazy if one of these teams actually defeated them at Wembley Stadium. If that occurred (give it 20 years), we would be treated to some epic like events no different than The 1976 new years eve match between Montreal Canadiens vs The Soviet Red Army .

September 16, 2016 @ 3:35 PM

Daniel

@Wally @The Voice of Reason

Liga MX is really good. But its really really chippy

If TFC or Montreal went to play a CL EPL team, and the EPL team actually tried. Like 90+ minutes with their best line-up and no letting up. The result would be 11-0. No hyperbole.

If Barça can beat Celtic 7-0 and Celtic is actually good. Like Europa league good. I can't imagine what a similarly skilled City or Chelsea would do to an MLS team

I don't hate MLS. I just find soccer played poorly is impossible to watch, so I don't watch MLS, regardless of how good the party is.

@Torontomike

You have 200 podcasts in your sights which is a great accomplishment! I get the sense that Humble and Fred are, although acquaintances now, are still icons to you. They entertained you in informative years - I get it. But, for what its worth, episode 200 is an awesome milestone and a completely off-the-charts guest is completely in order. What about someone of the ilk of Cherry or Mansbridge? I only compare them in terms of their status as national TV personalities. What about Jerry Howarth, Joe Bowen, or Brian Williams? All I'm saying is that we've heard H&F... Why not go for the gold in episode 200?

September 16, 2016 @ 5:35 PM

I'm actually surprised Mike is having H&F back. I know everyone are freinds but can bet that H&F will totally promote their podcast throughout. Make it ep. 201. Still thinking they are 30-40 year olds & Howard Stern wannabees.

So they get #200 not because I listened to them throughout the 90s, or because they're friends, but because in many ways they're the reason this show exists today.

I really have no opinion on H&F. I wish them well in their careers but I don't listen to that type of radio or podcast. I'll likely give #200 a pass.

On the other hand, I just finished the Dave Hodge pod today and it was brilliant. Next up is Liza F and Anne M. The pods are fantastic, Mike. You've created a special show, have earned the respect of Toronto personalities and listeners, and I hope you continue to enjoy it.

I even like the word "convo" and have caught myself using it lately. It's replaced "stop and chat" in my social vocabulary.

I've the ones that I have listened to, I've enjoyed many, but not all.

I have no interest in H&F - they are neither informative, or entertaining, not now, not back in their day.

@Daniel

I completely respect that you have attempted to watch the MLS and obviously show an interest in the sport. I agree completely that TFC or MTL would get obliterated against a Barca or Real Madrid. One of the biggest problems with MLS is their persistence in maintaining a salary cap when nearly all other soccer leagues in the world have none. The rationale is that they want to develop local players (which is admirable) but also causes the quality of game to suffer.

I guarantee you that if the MLS removed the salary cap, you would see a much more competitive league.

TFC & MLS

Well said Daniel.

The league keeps improving but it's still a W-I-P.

I've been a follower of MLS since inception. MLS is what it is, and it's all that we have, TFC is my home team, and I'll watch and support them.

It's sometimes both uncomfortable and painful to watch players on TFC unable to play with Seba, the disparity in skill is enormous and Seba isn't a world class player.

Until domestic players become world class players, it's always going to be a 2nd tier league. Canada & America are just not developing world class players, coaches or referees.

September 16, 2016 @ 9:52 PM

If MLS removed the salary cap, would most of the teams survive, and could they attract (almost) world class players?

Also, Marc Weisblott from 12:36 will return.

September 17, 2016 @ 9:05 AM

If MLS were to get rid of the salary cap, the league would implode within two years (just like previous pro soccer leagues in North America). The designated player exemptions already allow the rich teams like TFC to sign international stars for upwards of $6M per season, with TFC carrying a payroll of over $20M per year against a salary cap of $3.4M. With spending like that, it is about time the team plays like a top-tier club after years of futility.

The notion that the media is somehow holding pro soccer back in Canada is somewhat ludicrous. The sports channels are crying for content - if they thought that the potential viewership was more than the current audience of a few 20-something males living in mom's basement, they would give MLS the same treatment as they give other sports properties.

September 17, 2016 @ 9:53 AM

The Voice of Reason

@Daniel

I don't think anyone is disputing your point, my point was in 20 years don't count out the MLS being just as competitive as the EPL.

The original point that Wally was attempting to make was the disappointment in the lack of interest of TFC as they are a first place professional team in Toronto. I merely mentioned that TFC would be the equivalent of the Toronto Marlies being in first place. It is nice, but Toronto never really gets excited about "B" level championships.

September 17, 2016 @ 10:34 AM

Jason from Sudbury

I'm not gonna lie, I have no clue who Maestro Fresh Wes is, but I really hope you can get him on cause I know he's at the top of your list and you've been trying to get him on for a while now. Good luck. Hope it works out for you.

@Sid_V

I do believe media has a major influence on the development of sport in this country. Think about the sheer size of the hockey industry in this country. Both media giants employ a platoon of hockey experts and devote a majority of their budget to hockey. Imaging what would happen if in 5 years, hockey plummets in popularity (won't happen, but imagine). That's thousands of jobs gone, brands associated with media companies gone. This does not even take into consideration broadcasting exclusivity (CFL on TSN and Blue Jays on SN). Hockey will remain king for the foreseeable future, but look at MLSE's other products (Raptors, TFC, Marlies). There aren't 1 hour pre-game shows for those teams, they aren't the top story on radio shows, there are no feel-good stores about their B or C players. Don't even get me started about on-air personalities hanging around liberty village desperately giving away tickets. You won't see that for Raps, TFC or Marlies.

Media companies want people to watch the sports they are putting on and those that play a sport are often inclined to watch that sport as well.

September 17, 2016 @ 1:03 PM

collingwood dave

@wally. I appreciate your passion for the TFC, but spewing attendance numbers and bias media coverage is lame. The fact is soccer is boring and most Canadian borne people feel that way. I work with a person who's dog died about 10 years ago & took a complete week off due to emotional stress . A week off for a dog?? Many of us at work were commenting what would happen if Mommy or Daddy had a situation.

This week Daddy early 80's with early stages of Alzheimer disease had bleeding last weekend. Diagnosed as diverticulitis & all was treated & everything was getting better on Tues.
Wed. gotten much worse & family told by DR. DNR (do not resusitate). Refused to sign. Now on life support. I signed for my Mom knowing time was imminent & she would not suffer.

Person off work last all week & probably coming week also. Let it go.
Probably take a month off for emotional reasons when inevitable occurs.

It has to be a Toronto thing where fans of teams revel in the attendance woes of the local teams in other sports. Also pretty rich for jays' fans to mock the Argos' attendance but it does follow the narrative of drawing a straight line from Joe Carter to the bat flip. I spent many evenings in the dome watching the jays with tens of thousands of empty seats from 1994-2014. I wonder if Baltimore Ravens' fans enjoy the Orioles' attendance woes. I doubt it.

If you truly believe I am spewing nonsense then I'd love to see proof or even any anecdotal evidence you may have to support your claim. Much of my statement wasn't related only with TFC but with non-exclusively owned teams on the 2 major sports networks.

I'd love for someone to show me an example of a team that is as popular as the Argos are (allegedly) but cannot fill a stadium to save their lives. My guess is that their fans are much like you @Collingwood Dave, living outside of Toronto. If that is the case, why are they even in Toronto?

Until advertisers are willing to spend on soccer like they do for NHL, NBA & MLB, domestic soccer will always be nothing more than a niche sport in Canada.

Look at the success that the Toronto Rock had. They've won 6 championships (99,00,02,03,05,11); and during the Les Bartley era, the Rock was a dynasty.

MSM pretty much ignored the team and the league.

Even with a championship team, lacrosse (Canada's national "summer" sport) remains a niche sport, just like the CFL, MLS & TFC and of course, our national soccer teams.

Even the number of new Canadians hasn't helped soccer get past niche sport status.

If anyone is looking to point a finger, point it at the bungling, incompetent bureaucrats that administer soccer (CSA/OSA) for taking ineptitude & incompetence to world class levels.

MSM will gladly pocket the day-to-day nickles & dimes generated by soccer, but Rogers and Bell is more interested in investing in day-to-day dollars generated by hockey, baseball and basketball.

@ wally. Way to go, I'm glad you enjoyed the Argos loss. Did you watch?, because I would not watch one second of of TFC because soccer sucks...My niece went to a nil..nil game in June and said it was the worst two hours of her life.....

@Wally, your arguments do not hold up. The Raptors had one of those reality series devoted to following them around over the past few years, "Open Gym". It airs several times a week. There is a Raptors panel "breaking down" the Raps just as much as any of the other Toronto teams - if you take a sip of booze every time Jack says "in transition" you will be rolling drunk by the end of the segment. Both major sports networks have invested in covering the national soccer teams, and it is safe to say that the women's team has a higher visibility nationally than any of the MLS teams (and rightly so, imho).

Leafs tickets, TFC tickets, Raptors tickets, Marlies tickets - all are routinely distributed by media outlets including their on-air personalities. The Leafs package up discounted Marlies tickets with the purchase of NHL tickets, in order to promote the team. They made buying Raps tickets mandatory for the best Leafs tickets (not sure if they still do), which led to thousands of empty seats and unused tickets in the lower bowl at Raps games.

The media will broadcast whatever advertisers are willing to pay for, which is whatever people watch. The weekly soccer show on Sportsnet was cancelled due to lack of advertising - I am speculating that there weren't enough retailers of aftermarket Honda Civic exhaust advertising to keep it on the air. SN does have a weekly show focused on TFC, available on the website.

The Argos lost, but it was a competitive game and young QB Dan Lefevour looked great again. With him and Willy, they look pretty well-positioned for the future at QB.

My Orioles and Diamondbacks both lost. this is not a good thing. My Indians won, but that was close. It went to extra innings. Carlos Carrasco got hurt though. That's not a good thing and he is done for the year. Anyway, I don't know who they will get to take his place, but yesterday they used the pen so no pitcher lasted more than two innings. Anyway, Kean lost as well. They did win one game yesterday, but lost two more and that sucks. They're done for this spiel. Now I hope things are good in football. they better be.

Well, My Orioles lost again and my Diamondbacks lost again so that sucks. My Indians won though, but Carlos Carrasco is hurt again which is no good so they used the pen all game long after two pitches. Carlos Carrasco is done for the season. Kean won once yesterday, but lost twice. They are doneo for this spiel. Now I need lots of wins for my pool in football.

@Collingwood Dave

Very articulate.

I did not watch the game nor do I watch the CFL. I prefer sports with more than 11 minutes of action in a typical game . I spent several years in the 2000s giving the CFL and NFL a fair chance but the game is dull. It is a 3 hour commercial with a sprinkling of a football game throughout.

You are completely entitled to believe soccer sucks. You would also be in the minority for preferred sports watching in the world. But you know how being a minority feels being an Argos fan with 20 of your buddies down at BMO on any given game. Your typical tough-guy jock attitude is a thing of the past.

"O'Doyle Rules!!"

@Sid_V

Re: Raptors panels.

Throughout the season there is no consistent panel breaking down the game. What you are seeing are post-game analysis used to get to the bottom (:30) or top (:00) of the clock so that Sportscentre / Sportsnet Central can air. I'm talking about actual post-game analysis, airing interviews with players coaches, etc. During the playoffs this absolutely happens, but during the regular season you don't see it.

Re: Giving away tickets

Once again I'm not talking about giveaways on radio shows and whatnot. I'm talking about on air personalities (Kate Beirness) telling people to come down to liberty village and meet them for some Argo tickets. I have never seen this sort of behaviour for any other sports but I concede my sample size is small.

Re: Advertisers

You are 100% correct on that statement. But let's take a trip down memory lane to a time when the CFL was struggling with ratings and TSN and CBC shared broadcasting duties. TSN (for whatever reason) took exclusive rights to broadcast those games and now 10 years later are reaping the rewards. Great for their business. But now I'd argue that the footprint of soccer in this country is just as big as football and soccer is trending upwards while football seems to have stalled (or even declining). So where is that treatment for MLS or TFC/IMFC/VWC from the guys at TSN or SN? It is a fact that soccer is among the most played sports in the country. Nobody has ever made the claim that MLS is in the top echelon of soccer leagues in the world, but it is the best that we have here in North America. The CFL is in exactly the same boat, it is not top tier, but it is what we have.

@ Wally," I prefer sports with more than 11 minutes of action in a typical game" That is the funniest thing I have heard all week. I'll take those 11 minutes any day as apposed to 90 minutes of 20 guys in goofy shorts booting a ball around for 90 minutes with maybe scoring one goal.I hope the TFC win it all so you and your 20 buddies can line Young street for the parade..Is that articulate enough for you..

Anyone been watching WCH. Watched most of both games yesterday in rainy weather.

Europe beats the land of the free & home of the brave 3-0 with discards from countries that didn't get invited to this "tournament". Torts must be $h!tt!ing his pants. From what I saw USA didn't play as a team as all top players wanted to make a statement on their own.

Team Crosby. What can I say. Him & Bergeron & Marchand dominated & Price was great also.

Tonight the Young Guns turn against Finland. I wasn't going to watch any of this but Team North America really intrigues me.

@Cheryl
What is your favorite team in this World Cup of Hockey?
Baltimore & Arizona don't have teams.

Toronto FC with their draw against NY Red Bulls (3-3) have become the first team in MLS to clinch a playoff birth this year.

I don't follow this World cup stuff. Anyway, my Orioles won. It was close, but Mark Trumbo hit his 43rd homer which is the winning run. That's awesome. Manny Machado homered as well. My Diamondbacks won as well which is a good thing, but my Indians lost. Carlos Santana hit a home run in the losing cause. My Ravens and Cardinals won, but I am not doing well in my pool. The Packers lost last night which is a pool loss. I don't have the Bengals or Steelers so doesn't matter and I hate them both. Saints lost which is a loss. Colts lost which is a loss. I don't have Falcons or Raders so that doesn't matter. Titans beat Lions, but I have both teams. Seahawks lost which is a loss. Cowboys winning gives me a win. Dolphins losing gives me a loss. Chiefs losing gives me a loss. Chargers gives me a win. Hopefully the Eagles win tonight.

Why can't people like both types of football?

There's nothing I love more than sports in October so that I can watch my EPL in the mornings and then NFL in the afternoon.

They are both great in their own right IMO

I really don't want to talk about baseball. My orioles and Diamondbacks lost. My Indians didn't play. Anyway, Eagles won last night so that's a win for my pool which I really really need. I need more pool wins, that's for sure.

Hi Mike: I noticed on your Twitter feed that you posted a picture of the Lucky Lion. When I was really little, that was located just as you entered the QEW from the Gardiner (around where the Humber Bump used to be - South Kingsway I guess.)

I didn't know the history of the Lucky Lion until your comment got me Googling. Here's a good write-up: http://torontodreamsproject.blogspot.ca/2013/09/one-of-torontos-most-famous-early.html

My youngest son loves this lion, but it's really tucked away out of sight now. Unless you're going to the dog park near Windermere and the Waterfront Trail, you'd likely miss it.

Not that I will be going out of my way to watch on a warm spectacular late September summer evening.
But how many phantom penalties will be called on Team Canada this evening ?
Gary's house league showcase CAN'T afford to have the mighty U.S. eliminated from the money maker after 2 games with 1 more game to play (wouldn't their last game after they are eliminated be a treat to watch)
You know if their is another "wurld cup" the U.S & Canada will not play each other till their final round robin game
"Gary's Gang" of suits made a Budweiser mistake by not making this game played last in the round robin.
Just a thought...

Just got the scores from the weekend NFL, got 16 leading the pool.Cameron Newton had a big week.
I don't want to talk about duck hunting league.

My Orioles lost again. I'm tired of them losing. They are slipping at the wrong time. My Diamondbacks lost another one as well, but my Indians won. Carlos Santana hit a home run for my Indians again. Yes, Cam Newton had a good game and that was a good one because Panthers are in my pool.

September 21, 2016 @ 8:35 AM

Cheryl

Ho hum, my Orioles lost again. It's pathetic. It really is. My Diamondbacks won though. How about Paul Goldschmidt, two homers in one game. How about Zach Greinke. My Indians won as well. They were losing, but they came back and won as Corey Kluber was a bit shaky, but he settled down. Well, Texans and Patriots tonight. Neither is in my pool, but hopefully Texans win as I really don't like the Patriots.
