A Comic Legend?

Question MarkFollowing tonight's Leaf game I turned on my Freeplay Ranger to listen to the post-game call in show on Mojo Radio. One of the advertisements I heard was a big voice pronouncing the exciting fact "Comedy legend Louie Anderson is coming to Casino Rama". Excuse me? Louie Anderson is now being referred to as a comedy legend?!?! Legend as an adjective is being serious devalued with such statements. Sure, the man delighted us all as the corner square on Hollywood Squares and we loved him as host of Family Feud but he's certainly not a comedy legend. Milton Berle was a comedy legend. Groucho Marx was a comedy legend. Bob Hope was a comedy legend. Louie Anderson is not a comedy legend.
