Take On Me Virtual Whirlwind Tour Of My Mind

VideosA couple of years ago, I started sharing great videos from the glory days of MuchMusic. I started the series off with "Take On Me" by A-Ha, the definitive 'great video' from the 1980s.

I just watched a hilarious literal version of the "Take On Me" video. If you remember the 80s, you'll love this.

And of course, I can't watch A-Ha's "Take On Me" video without thinking about one of my favourite Family Guy scenes.

And now that A-Ha's "Take On Me" is totally stuck in my head, I'm thinking about a funny bit by Jimmy Fallon called "Hammertime". It's a bunch of great 80s songs, including "Take On Me", sung to MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This".

The Family Guy scene I saw about a week ago..."Chris, where have you been?" "I DON'T KNOW!".

The literal version is very, very good. Falsetto better than Frankie Valli.

If I could have written any '80's song, just on its future earning potential, it would have to be Modern English's "I Melt With You". That guy must be rolling in commercial-use dough for such a silly little ditty!
