Planning the Parade

LeafsI'm thinking we might take it east on Bloor to Yonge and then south to Queen and then to Nathan Phillips Square for speeches and celebration. I'm still tweaking the exact route, but that's one of my ideas. I'll wear my Barilko #5, Ryan has his McCabe #24 and Steve can don his Tucker #16. James can come too... hell, Michelle will be almost two years old, she and Zander should be there as well. If I close my eyes I can see the day. It's a lovely June morning with a warming sun and not a cloud in the sky. The 39 year drought is over.

The Toronto Maple Leafs' 5-0 exhibition win over the Boston Bruins last night was the catalyst for the planning of this parade. Jeff O'Neill, Ben Ondrus, Mariusz Czerkawski, Darcy Tucker, and John Pohl scored for Toronto. Ed Belfour and Jean-Francois Racine shared the shutout.
