Happy 10th Birthday torontomike.com! I remember when this site helped me waste many long hours in my 9-5 office days. I used to forward the 'Homer Simpson quote of the week' around and it made me look quite funny! You should know that this site has been awarded a permanent place in my bookmarks bar, which is a high honour. Keep it up old friend, here's to another 10, and maybe by then I will have a phone I can load your site up on! :)

Happy blog birthday! Idea for post (if it doesn't exist already): more details on the stats of the blog. For example, list the most commented and most viewed posts...etc...I'm not good at ideas sometimes.

10 years is a long time to keep this kind of thing going. My own blog just turned 9 last month, so I understand how much of an accomplishment a decade probably feels like.

congrats mike!! i remember when it was just me and a few others that were visiting it. That did not last too long. I've always been in awe of your ability to write so well. Congrats Mike, although I have been on the Internet since the mid '80's, yes, I am *that* old, I never got in to blogs until I found yours. I believe I was searching for Humble and Fred.

Your writing is excellent, you are reasonably balanced and I think your policy of never deleting a comment is awesome. (Spam excluded of course). I am really impressed that you keep posting as much content as you do.

I think I have mentioned before that you are generally faster at breaking news than most News orgs and even Twitter!

Here's to the next 10 and beyond...

I guess my protective instincts kicked into gear when I read what you'd written about Mike's ex-wife (the servicing part). It SO didn't sit right. Maybe I had a flashback to a much earlier post of Mike's - a picture of them (he and his ex-wife) at their wedding (looking barely old enough to drive).

Generally, I enjoy Christmas music - both from the winter festival and the faith perspectives. I respect that this is not everyone's prefered taste or orientation, but that's alright with me - we can agree to disagree. Although I like Christmas or holiday music, I do not like it before December 1. I also think that "Christmas Shoes" is the most aweful piece of garbage an artist of any kind has ever contributed to the human race. Thankfully I have not heard it yet this year. Here's hoping the streak continues.
