Congrats to Pops for the big win! The race for 2nd was scary close, so I'm going to audit the final scores before declaring the winner. Stephen owns the tie breaker...

Hey Mike.. we where talking about how important draft order is in who wins the pool. You should find out the average draft position for the winner since you've been keeping track. Could be interesting.

2009 - 6
2008 - 8
2007 - 2
2006 - 3
2004 - 2
2003 - 10

I'm not sure that proves my point... but those are the facts.

p.s. I'm in last already. Wow, I suck at this.

Mike, Zetterberg did not pick up a point for me.... not sure why he has one on my squad.

What was i on when i took Demers with my 9th pick?

Joe
April 18, 2010 / 07:58

I can't believe I just surpassed my totals from last year in a few days.

Toronto Mike
April 18, 2010 / 10:49

Haha... there have been a lot more goals this year, and with only 9 of us, the quality of our teams is higher.

Last year, Lamster finished with 22 points. That's the modern day record for futility. You really are only one point behind his 2009 score, and some teams have only played one game.

Samuelsson what????

Dom, nice pick at #8.

Semin
April 24, 2010 / 19:53

I am the worst first round pick. I'm sorry.

Hey Mike an assist that was first awarded to Guerin has now been given to Crosby.

It Should be 14 Crosby and 6 Guerin

I like how all of us have already surpassed Lamster's total from last year.

Oh no Joe!

April 28, 2010 / 09:11

Loading up on Coyotes, Kings and Avs is ill advised.

Ryan
April 28, 2010 / 21:43

OUCH JOE!!!!

Losing everyone in the first round has got to hurt....

Alexi
April 29, 2010 / 10:01

Looks like I should have taken Crosby first overall!

Domenic
April 29, 2010 / 13:03

Glad you didn't. ;->

Ryan
April 29, 2010 / 18:32

Am i the only one who thinks that losing a whopping 38 players in the first round is messed up?

38 out of 90 players picked, gone! What a league!!!

Mike, I don't like your chances no East Teams left, i have to say that if Chicago and Pitt stay around I like Doms chances, Steve is down but if Chicago stays around I like Patrick Kane doing some damage

Ryan
May 5, 2010 / 19:36

Pops and I are in trouble!!!

Currently Det is down 3-0 and Pops has Phi down 2-0 and 2-1 in first of game 3.

Its gonna be Pats vs. Dom with Mike having an outside shot if Van goes all the way.

Dom is losing two players in the Van-CHI series and steve has two great guys on CHI if they go far but he also has two REDWINGS.

I am giving it to DOM!

Ryan
May 6, 2010 / 17:44

There goes my secret weapon in Krejci!!

Out for the playoffs. Damn. That means that if they beat Phi we have a team in the Semis without a single player to watch.

C'Mon Detroit!!!!!!!

Toronto Mike

Finally, Mofo catches Joe!

Domenic
May 13, 2010 / 10:12

WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!

Alexi
May 13, 2010 / 11:37

Worst pool ever! No one has any players left... I bet the winner will have under 100 points. However, It should be an interesting battle between Pops and Ryan for the top spot.

Ryan
May 13, 2010 / 13:17

Wow, Wow, Wow....

This is unreal. I have never been a bigger Bruin fan in my life.

If the next two rounds go 7 games is there enough time for someone like Steve or Pats to make a run??

I can break it down like this.
If Phi wins Pops has this thing. If Boston wins I have a decent chance.

Finally, if Krejci stayed healthy this thing was mine!!! Assuming Bos wins tomorrow, which is a horrible assumption to make.

Steve
May 14, 2010 / 15:44

Game 7 - Phil vs. Boston could be the end of this whole pool. If Phil completes the comeback, Pops is walking to the bank. If Bos wins, this could get interesting.

Ryan
May 14, 2010 / 22:40

Congrats Pops.

Fitting how they were down 3-0 in series and came back to win 4-3 while down 3-0 in game 7 and coming back to win 4-3.

Man i hate philly.

Toronto Mike
May 24, 2010 / 09:48

Looks like the big race is for 2nd. Will Ryan hold off his brother Steve? Will Joe pay his $20?

These answers and more, coming soon!

Ryan
May 28, 2010 / 19:09

Steve, do you think you will have me beat by game 1 or do you think it will take until game 2???

I'm screwed. Even if you had one of those guys i am screwed.

And to think, i had that $20 already allocated towards my monthly hooker allowance. Damn......

Toronto Mike
May 30, 2010 / 19:41

You know.... when you think about it, it was really tough for Steve to lose this thing.

Look at those first two picks!

It was an interesting playoff. I guess Alexi is right because it doesn't seem to matter a lot what draft position you have but how much crazy
luck you have. Don't worry I will spend the money foolishly and quick. See you all next year POPS
