The Separation of Church and Skate

Published by Toronto Mike on April 10, 2009 @ 16:21 in Toronto Marlies

USAI've already explained the importance of these final two Marlies games. Our games are against the top two teams in the division while Syracuse is playing a home-and-home against the worst team in the division. I was just on the Syracuse Crunch site reading up on them when I found a promo for Faith Night.

Here's the promo, now out of date but still in rotation on the site as of this morning. Christopher Ames, for the unaware, is a Christian rock singer.

This is the problem with America. There's no separation of church and skate.

I'm hanging with the local heathens this Good Friday night, right here in the T.Dot. By the way, Mike Keane is still playing for the Moose. It seems he too has made a deal with the devil.

It's GOOD FRIDAY, why aren't you at church? I was earlier today.

All Fridays are pretty good if you ask me. This one is particularly good, because I didn't have to go to work.

Did you go to church today Mike?

Probably not like most RC's who preach but don't attend.

The holiest day of the year?
See you in church on Sunday.

I think if I had gone to church today, it'd be fair to call me a hypocrite.

Since I didn't go to church, I'm not at all a hypocrite. Ask Argie what I mean.

P.s. Awesome game! Recap coming! Tweet! Tweet! Tweet!

Is hockey (minor league) more important than your religion? I guess hockey is your religion. GOD BLESS.

I'm going to church on Sun. -Are you? If you do take your kids. Have they ever been to church?

Elvis your out of line. Violence & Hate?????
I'm trying to convey that MOST RC's don't go to church & follow their "supposed" beleifs.
My fave. movie is on TV tonight - The Ten Commandments - watch it all.

That old book full of violence and hate is more trouble than it's worth.

Speaking of violence and hate, Elvis is probably on his way to BMO Field right now starting a riot or two or three.

As for supposed beliefs, I take it you don't read this blog. I recommend starting with http://www.torontomike.com/losing_my_religion/ .

Hey Chris - read the Old Testament dude. Seriously. Try writing a book report on that sucker leaving out all the death and parts where God tells us someone is better than the other.

I'll bet it's 1 page long.

You're the one out of line telling Mike to take his kids to Church.

Phew, all this anger has got me hot and bothered...time for some youjizz.com - see you there Chris.
