foodYesterday at about this time, Humble took us all out to Tim Hortons for lunch. Imagine Humble, Fred, Scary Pete and me walking into your local Tims and that was the scene. There was a new item on the menu, so we decided to try it.

Test driving the new Tim Hortons lasagna

The plan was for us to review the Tim Hortons' lasagna on today's podcast but we forget to get to it. So... here's my review of the lasagna.

It's good. Not Palma Pasta good, but still good. It came with two slices of garlic bread and filled me up. Yummy.

Tried it the first day it came out. It's pretty good. Considering I have 3 Tim Horton's locations within 3 minutes driving distance of where I live, I'll be having it often.

Is it really that good? I read something about it and apparently there's hardly any cheese in it at all and the noodles are overcooked, but I haven't tried it myself. I don't go to Tim Hortons often at all.

I see from the pic that the utensils are clean, but it's weird that they served that to you partially eaten and sauce mucked around the inside of the bowl.

Hope you asked for a discount.

Looks like the portion is for a very young child. I will not be eating this as I'm allergic to garlic with the bread anyway.

looks like Chef Boyardee to me..
lately I have been noticing in a lot of Tim Hortons their donut selection and section is becoming smaller and the meal section/menu is increasing..hmmm?

When I think of lasagna, I think of well not that...that looks like Lasagna that fell apart and drowning in sauce...Where is the ricotta cheese?

I was in the Oakville Palma Pasta store this evening. I bought two lasagnas (one frozen), some fresh pasta and meat sauce. It will all be delicious. No sign of Il Duce, though.

I've never tried Palma Pasta, just realising there is one not far from me here. Have to agree with Jacki Anne, looks like my childhood Chef Boyardee, maybe they make it for Tim's as we all know they don't make their donuts anymore

I saw this on CBC's This Hour has 22 Minutes and thought is was just a joke! Like I said on Freds blog, whats next for Tims, snow tires and oil change? Also saw fat Ford running away and calling the cops. What a twat!

Sorry...that doesn't look appealing in any way. Looks like just a bunch of soggy noodles in Ragu sauce.

Just for fun I tried it today.
That was NOT lasagne. Lasagne has LAYERS of pasta & cheese baked. The bread was Ok but too cold & the lasagna was cooked too long. Mushy noodles.

This crap was just like Mac Pizza's at MD's many years ago. Will be off the menu soon unless they upgrade.

So it's like chef boyardee? I hate that stuff. It's too mushy. I won't try it. I hate garlic bread anyway. Oh well, maybe if they started making real lasagna. I never have been to Palma Pasta. It's not near me and I don't ddrive. Have no way of getting a ride to Oakville. At least not now I don't.

I work at Tim hortons, reason it gets mushy is bakers who dont care, its the the best but if you are out and wanted something more filling than chicken noodle soup it is, there is not alot of cheese so Tim Hortons can allow customers to add 60 cents to add cheese

Tasted like chef boyardee to me -- there was no cheese only a lot of sauce smothered with oregeno. I won't order it again.

Had the lasagna about a week ago. I would say that it is only OK. The store that I was at didn't have garlic toast so they gave me half of a small bagget smothered in garlic butter. Don't think I will be ordering it again. Will order the chilli instead.

had the lasagna yesterday. it was mediocre at best. no cheese (that I could taste) and overcooked noodles. it was also not a good value in my opinion. almost ten dollars for large portion of "chefboyrdee" and a xl coffee. for ten dollars a sub shop sandwich is a better deal.

its just hamburger helper served in a paper cup to go
or if you stay you do get it in a ceramic cup like the soup

lasagna its not , chili its not either , its just another item to build the bottom line $$$$$$$$
