Twitter Client Usage - How Do You Tweet?

Published by Toronto Mike on March 15, 2011 @ 17:16 in Twitter

twitterAccording to a Sysomos survey, Twitter users only send 58% of their overall Tweets using the company’s own proprietary Twitter applications and website. If my math is right, that means 42% of us use non-official Twitter apps.

I'm in that 42%. I happily use Seesmic.

I have one simple question for those of you who tweet. What do you use to Tweet?

I use twitter.com when I'm on my computer for about half the time; I also use the Chromed Bird extension when I'm on the computer. On the go I use the echofon twitter app, that's it.

So yeah, the majority of my tweets are sent from a non-offical twitter client.

I use Tweetdeck. Love it. Almost never even touch twitter's website.

I use ubersocial on my blackberry. I haven't tried any other third party apps but the official twitter app sucks.

I use Qwitter most of the time. It's a client built to be blind guy friendly. If I'm on a computer that doesn't have that I'll use AccessibleTwitter.com in a pinch. If I'm tweeting from the phone I do it by text message. My current cell phone isn't smart enough to do Twitter apps.

That 58% is not greater than half that circle...

I use Twitter for BlackBerry but of course, I'm a bit biased.

I'd be interested in hearing what are the BlackBerry users qualms with T4BB...I'll pass them on to our team to improve the app!
