I have a whole bunch of those things in my parent's basement someplace. I loved them when I was a kid.

Ah yes, the wrestlers. These damn things were the cause of one of my worst Christmas memories...

My brother asked for wrestlers and the ring for Christmas the year these came out. He found my mom's present stash, and had figured out her present coding system (she never put tags on til the last minute, instead preferring to wrap them and then mark them with our initials) Brother thought he found all the presents with his initials and peeked inside the paper, then wrapped them back up -- except for the damn ring. He TORE that paper more, and she discovered it.

Unfortunately he got into one of -my- presents as well.

For Christmas that year? He excitedly opened the box that previously contained the "sling-em-fling-em ring", to find a box with a picture of the ring from the Consumer's Distributing catalogue taped to the bottom of it. And I opened my cherished Whitney Houston cassette tape to find the empty paper holder from Woolco.

And I can't believe I just admitted that statement LOL
