Inception Review

Inception: 9 out of 10.
If you haven't seen Inception yet, and you're in the mood for a good old fashioned mind fuck, this is your movie.
I totally bugged it, even when it was hurting my brain. And the best part is after the movie when you replay it in your head and try and solve the puzzle. I have my theories, but they're full of spoilers so you won't read them here.

nnnyeaaah..
i was so so with this movie.
possible spoiler alert..so do not read further if u haven't seen the film..
i give it a 6.5, because at least it was a semi intelligent action movie, but i wasn't blown away.
i think my main problem is that i didn't really truly care about the characters; to me they were never in any kind of real jeopardy because they were all DREAMING! All this action packed stuff is going on, but in reality they're just lying on an airplane snoozing.
What also bugged me is how what's her face Ellen Page is plucked from a university to work with these people. Dicaprio and the others have years and years of experience with this stuff and it's fresh-faced Page who's solving the most complex aspects of this stuff.
And, I'm sick and tired of fleeting shots of a character's ex wife/kids (Dicaprio's in this case) to suggest he's longing for them, etc. I guess there's no other real way of visually expressing this but they don't have to keep using it repeatedly..i get it..he misses his wife and kids already..
And yes, i was a little confused who was where and why certain characters were doing certain things, so perhaps a second viewing is necessary, but the aforementioned issues i had will likely prevent me from giving it a second chance.
But there are quite a few well-received movies i just hated. It was the same with Grand Torino. Thought that was shite with terrible terrible acting and an obvious plotline.
