Movie ReviewDespicable Me: 8 out of 10.

I took my 8-year old to Despicable Me this past weekend. He had already seen Toy Story 3, and it's always tough to find a movie we'll both love.

We both loved Despicable Me. It's just a solid, funny, charming little movie that's pretty perfect for those times you need a family flick. I'm sure they'll find a way to spin off the Minion's into a television series or sequel.

Thinking about this for my son. Anything too dark, loud, scary for a 4 year old?

I *was* interested in seeing this movie up until the ads went from cute to overkill.

I have to change the channel every time those Minions come on TV. There's such a thing as good viral marketing, and unfortunately, the marketing people behind this movie got a little too commercial happy.

It's pretty tame - I don't think anything would freak out a 4-year old.

He's a pretty likable evildoer.
