Recreation of Star Wars Cantina Scene for Adidas: Homage or Sacrilege

There's a new ad for Adidas hitting the interwebs. It features David Beckham, Daft Punk, Snoop Dogg, Franz Beckenbauer, Noel Gallagher, Ian Brown, Ciara, Jay Baruchel and DJ Neil Armstrong in a recreation of the cantina scene from Star Wars.
Is this a fun homage to a beloved movie scene or sacrilege?

Meh...there didn't seem to be any real good "hook" to that ad. Its like they shuffled the pop culture deck and dealt out an ad concept from the 4 cards at the top. Doing those kinds of mashups only really grabs me when there's some extra synergy to the combination.
Man I hate when people use the internet just to dump on things...
