Nike's Write the Future World Cup Ad: It's Good

Published by Toronto Mike on May 22, 2010 @ 13:12 in Miscellaneous

videoI hear there's some big soccer thing taking place this summer. When it comes to International soccer, Canada is never represented, so I've always made my ancestors proud by rooting for Ireland.

I'm told there is no Ireland this year, so I'm without a rooting interest. If there's a country you think I should cheer for in the World Cup, let me know in the comments.

And if you haven't yet seen the full length version of Nike's Write the Future ad, check it out below.

Yeah, it's good. And no, it doesn't make me want to buy Nike. I wear Asics.

I noticed that Coke is running a contest to win a trip to the country that wins the World Cup. I wonder what happens if North Korea or The Ivory Coast somehow pull off an upset...

Is there any country in the world that loves Canada more than the Netherlands?
Fries with Mayo
Pickled Herring
and of course the Bavarian - lederhosen incident from the 2006 World Cup should have you wearing oranje.
Velcom aboard!

Since the colours of the flags are very close, Italy should be your choice. Unfortunalty that's where the similarities end, as Italy is a winner.

Really, the only true method of deciding on any sports team is to get yourself a globe and a pair of compasses and work out which team is closest to you. However, note that you might like this method a bit less when I point out that Montreal was the nearest city to me with an NHL team.
