Charles Hamelin = Bret McKenzie

Published February 27, 2010 @ 00:18 in Olympics

questionCanadian speed skater Charles Hamelin had a very good day today. He won two gold medals.

Bret McKenzie from Flight of the Conchords was nowhere to be seen. In fact, there is no recorded instance of Charles Hamelin and Bret McKenzie ever being in the same room at the same time.

I've said this all-along! My wife and I called him 'Brit' (in our best kiwi accents) the first time we saw him.

There's no Hmmmmm about it. Charles Hamelin has duel citizenship with New Zealand under an alias.

Also, kiwi accent == french canadian accent, so it's obvious.
