Maple Leafs 2, Bruins 0

leafsLet's a spend a moment talking about THE MONSTER. Yes, he recorded his first career shutout over a team that had beaten us seven games in a row, but that's not what I'm talking about.

THE MONSTER was making his first start in 17 days since undergoing a second surgical procedure to correct an abnormal rhythm in his heart. Sure, it's minor surgery as far as surgeries go, but we're talking about his heart here. THE MONSTER seems to take it all in stride, refusing to use such hardships as an excuse and making it very clear that he's honoured to be a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Toskala, as far as I'm concerned, is done here in Toronto. He won't finish the season here. This is THE MONSTER's team, and with him at the helm we will battle for a playoff spot.

In THE MONSTER we trust.

What happens if he does poorly next game? I'm gonna wait a couple more weeks before getting back on the bandwagon.

We loved Toskala because he had a few good games early on.

Tosky was brutal early on. Just awful.

He was actually rebounding before the 2nd Buffalo goal on Friday night, but that was so bad he's going to have to stand on his head to win us back.

I think that's incredible to play like that after having surgery such a short while ago. 17 days isn't that long.
