Maple Leafs 2, Flames 5

LeafsHow wise was it to honour a decade in which we posted a record of 263-443-94? On 80s night, the Leafs did Paul Morris proud, stinking up the joint like it was 1984.

MLSE: Leave the 80s be.

It was great to see some of my old Leaf hero's last night. Wendel will always be a Leaf legend, and Rusty's name will always haunt Gord Stellick. I don't know whether it was a good idea to honor an era of such poor performance, but those highlights were the best part of the game. Maybe Burke is trying to remind us how much fun it was to watch a losing team who could hit and fight. If that's the case he didn't win me over. All he did was remind me of how easy it is to put a good spin on a bad team.

They actually did not play too badly. They just can't score.
