Maple Leafs 1, Rangers 4

leafs0-6-1. Hell, that's flattering, it's 7 games, 7 losses.

We've been outscored 11-2 by opponents in first periods this season. Overall, we're averaging 2 goals a game while opponents are scoring an average of 4.57 goals against us.

It's so bad, I'm running out of adequate adjectives. We didn't look half bad coming out of the gate last night, and we still lost 4-1 on home ice.

We can't even make lemonade from these lemons by starting a fun "let's finish last" campaign, because we don't own our own first round pick. And we don't play again until next Saturday, so we've got a whole week to endure pot shot from Leaf haters who love to kick us when we're down.

The Monster remains our only hope.

Habs last last night to Ottawa. Not much to cheer about.

I'm starting a campaign to sign Brendan Shanahan and give him the C.

Hell, bring back Jason Allison it cant get any worse.....Just when we thought it couldnt get any worse than what the Bills have managed to do, I think the Leafs are taking the cake.
Did Burke say anything about it getting worse before it gets better?

I have a rant in me that's about to spill out, but in an effort to pace myself with the Leafs off all week, I'm going to wait until Wednesday to publish it.

p.s. Burkie, if you're reading this, and I know you are, don't bring back Jason Allison. But you can sign Brendan Shanahan for the remainder of the year.

And Buffalo Boy, at least I've seen the Bills play in the finals four times in my lifetime. I've never seen my Leafs play in the finals. It's nearly impossible to find a team with 42 years of not playing in the finals.

I wonder what Mike Palmateer, Bunny Laraque, Rick St. Croix, Tim Bernhardt, Allan Bester, Ken Wregget, Peter Ing and Jeff Reese are up to these days...

At this point, I'd take Don Edwards.

How about HoFamer Johnny Bower?

We need a better coach. I wonder how well Eddie Olczyk or Doug Gilmour would do the coach.

Damn... forgot about Edwards. Don Beaupre was pretty awesome during his brief time as a Leaf though.

This start only proves what a crock of shite Burke is.

He convinced most Leaf fans that they actually had a shot at the playoffs spot and now its likely they won't win a game before the snow flies.

No one can talk a good game like burke and its the reason the media love him - that whole "Burkie" petname they gave him is proof.

Except now, I dont hear "Burkie" being used much anymore. I said it when they hired him, he's a pant load who's on the verge of a serious heart attack - trust me (he's my pick in the dead pool).

Last year's team looked a lot better. At least they were always in the game.

Yeah great idea about Shanahan he will solve all your problems! When will you guys learn that you have to build through the draft. The only thing that is better then watching you guys 0- 7 will be watching Kessel not scoring goals. With no Savard he is not going to do nearly as well. GO SENS SO. I will be checking in time to time to laugh at these comments. I swear I could do a better job then that white hair goat you have for a GM.

Big words from the fan of a team that hasn't won the Stanley Cup since 1927.

Yeah we took 40 years off and and we are only a few behind you guys! Toronto fans make me laugh. Still a fun site though.

What exactly do the Sens rule?? Underachievement??

At least we all know the Leafs stink.

Its sad to see a fellow Canadian team do so badly... remember guys its only been 7 games, there still is 70+ more games left in the season.
In the mean time....GO OILERS!!!

Ottawa defines underachievement with so many great teams over the years and nothing to show for it. And some jackass is giving us advice.

That team was even on the verge on bankruptcy a few years ago. And the arena is surrounded by parking lots and open fields.

You guys make me laugh! I guess making it to the Stanley Cup Finals was under achieving. I was wondering when was the last time the Maple Losers made it that far? 1967 hahaha. And what Canadian team has not faced bankruptcy over the past 10 years. My memory is saying that Calgary and Toronto were the only teams that have been safe, even the Canadians were in trouble at one point.

Another thing that makes me laugh is that you guys honor players from the 90's and the other night Darcy Tucker!! Seriously what is the deal with that?

Anyways hoping for you to end up dead last for the next 2 years and not having a draft pick.

Cheers
