My Ten Favourite Characters on The Wire
Published by Toronto Mike on September 18, 2009 @ 14:34 in The Wire
This list was inspired by "Andrew with a capital A" who now goes by the name McNulty. He emailed me a list of his ten favourite characters on The Wire, The Greatest Show On Television, Ever™.
His list was very good, but my list is just a little different. Here are my ten favourite characters from The Wire, The Greatest Show On Television, Ever™.
- Omar Little
- Jimmy McNulty
- Lester Freamon
- Bubbles
- Bunk Moreland
- D’Angelo Barksdale
- Howard “Bunny” Colvin
- Preston “Bodie” Broadus
- Frank Sobatka
- Michael Lee

And here's McNulty's list, complete with excellent reasoning.
1. Jimmy McNulty – He was good po-lice. A drunk and a slut, but good po-lice.
2. Omar Little – A murderous thief but with a code. No civilians were ever killed.
3. William “Bunk” Moreland – Real good po-lice.
4. Reginald “Bubbles” Cousins – A tragic figure who found himself
5. Frank Sobotka – A thief who had the right intentions.
6. Lester Freamon - Damn good po-lice.
7. Preston “Bodie” Broadus – A low level thug who knew exactly what he was.
8. Roland “Wee-Bay” Brice – Ruthless killer, lover of fish.
9. Michael Lee – Tragic life leads to a new Omar.
10. “Proposition” Joe Stewart – Calming, logical drug dealer, slight weight problem.
